Off and On the Rails

These past two weeks have been very shameful. Have completely fallen off the rails. Since I have been sick with the flu this past few days time to start all over again. Also found a new workout buddy and maybe some more motivation to actually get on the right track.  Won't hurt to give it a try.

The will to get off my ass is the hard part. Things haven't be the best in my life and I guess everyone can say they have had their share of pain. Even been told numerous of time to write a book on my insane life. Not going to happen, just a blog on trying to lose weight and my hardships of it along the way. Maybe going thru a midlife crisis or something. Well, its time to get my head straight and life back in order.

After Weekend Shame

Sunday afternoon is here and I cannot deny that the weekend went to shit. I eat great BBQ and Mexican food while drinking vodkas and cranberry. As of exercise, the max of my steps were 3K each day, which is half my goal per day.

No self control as of yet. But everything goes back to somewhat normal today.
Had eggs and sausage for breakfast with lots of water. Body is dehydrated due to the drinking. Got carried away watching the Canelo and Chavez fight with family.

Plenty of work ahead of me, work on some kind of discipline to get fit.
Need to find motivation within myself. Even right now as I am still feeling last nights drinks, need to get up and maybe go out for a walk.

Salmon with veggies is on the menu tonight
Must stick to the plan and start all over again.

Cannot discourage myself for every tumble I make.
To be great one must fail,  Right?

Day 2 Cont....

Good evening everyone!

Actually worked out today with an exercise DVD... that's right, I still use them.
Completed a yoga one from Biggest Loser Jillian Michaels  Beginners Shed.
Can find it at Walmart. It stretched my body and know there will be some hurt tomorrow. Always try to remember to stretch really good afterwards and heard eating an orange helps with the soreness, so eat two.

Dinner was leftover chicken from last night, mixed bell peppers and green beans.
Snack a fiber one cookie to crush my chocolate craving.

With that done, the hardest part coming is the weekend.
With plans of being out all day with the kids for free comic book day, a play to see Aladdin and birthday party the weekend will be my downfall and challenge.

I know for a fact I will not exercise, maybe some walking, taking the train into downtown. Besides that, will see how well I stay in control of my intake of junk food. The kids are now teenagers and are always hungry. Making some sandwiches will not hold them for long. Any ideas will be helpful.

Wish me luck!

Day 2 of the struggle

Day 2 of the struggle
Well, I did go walking for about 35 min before dinner. Not much exercise but a start. Have a gym membership to start using soon to help me do more than walking.

For last nights dinner, appetizer was cooked shrimp on slices of cucumber in an avocado sauce. had 4 of those before the salad and three more after dinner.
We had a large chicken salad
Baked chicken breast with spinach, spring mix, mini cucumbers, red and orange bell peppers and lemon juice as dressing.

AS FOR THIS MORNING........
I have already messed up with breakfast. Sister came over first thing today with food. Not just any food neither potatoes with egg tacos. I had only two of them and drank 24 oz of water, just for breakfast.

Lunch was Tuna and Egg sandwiches. Did use Avocado as the spread instead of mayo.
Use whole wheat toast. More water.

Majority of the time all I drink is water, the only other liquids I drink are when we are social drinking with friends and have to figure out how to cut the calories on them.... Have until next weekend to look into this.

The motivation to workout and eat better is very difficult for me. Maybe I am just lazy or need someone to join me and complete this task together?? Either way I am working on it, literally hour by hour.... Might do the protein shake for dinner?

Stay tune......

Let me introduce myself

You can call me Sasha, a woman trying to change her lifestyle one day at a time. Have tried over and over again on losing weight and also getting healthier. Since I have already had a weak immune system since I was a child, hoping these daily blogs, comments and hard work improves that.

The hardest part is actually starting the process. I give props to all the women who are dedicated to lose the weight and make it to the gym every day. I, however and not one of those women. Struggle is the word to describe it. As many times as I have began to lose 10 pounds, over a weekend I gain it all back. "Discipline" is not one of my best qualities.
Neither is determination, that fades off.

Can I find the time? Sure can, but instead have a craving for my greasy tacos or cheesecake. Struggle just like every other mother out there that has to start over again and again. So decided to start a blog of my progress and downfalls each step of the way. I will take some pictures, give you recipes and information on products I use each day. Believe it or not but this is my first public display on showing progress on anything I have ever done. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to let me know. I will do my best to try any advice given.

I will start off my using a Fitbit Charge 2  https://www.fitbit.com/home to keep track of steps per day. Or you can use any other tracking device. Since I do not walk that much in a day, starting goals are 6K steps per day, can always change the goals the more active I become.

Water is a major thing to help with organs moving and wash you out so using the Hydrate Spark Water Bottle. This measures your water intake and glows when you haven't had a drink in a while. Can sync with the app on your phone. There is a month wait before you receive the product.

Also using the Aria Fitbit weight scale to track weight and body fat. You can find at Kohls, Best Buy or Fitbit stores https://www.fitbit.com/shop/aria

Here are my stats for today as the first day:
Height: 5 3
Weight: 196.9 lbs
Body Fat: 43%
Trying to reach 140 for my ideal weight.

Since I have a weaker immune system than most people I know. Will use other products for vitamins. Chosen Ideal Lean protein shake mix and Vitamin D. This protein shake is made for us women. Since women over 35 lose more vitamin D each day, lets hope this helps maintain my daily intake. Also have GNC Women's Ultra Mega Vitamin packs. Taking all these pills will be a challenge itself for me. Bought these cause they were buy one box the other half off.

With each blog I will add my daily meals and which exercises I do per day.

 Breakfast
Water 16oz
Vitamins
2 scrambles eggs with avocado wheat toast

Snack
Almonds and half PB&J sandwich on wheat bread
Water 8oz

Lunch
Protein Shake with water and fresh strawberries
Water  8oz

Dinner
Will post later

Last Note: Please join me as we make this journey down the rabbit hole and hope at the end of it we get to where we need to be.
